Minutes of the Special Meeting held at Poyntington Village Hall on Thursday 8th December 2005 at 7.30 p.m.

The following were present: Councillors Mason, Buckland, Mrs Dimond, Kellaway, Mrs Oliver, Clerk Fraser, District Councillor Gould, 8 members of the public.

Public Participation Session: Objections were made to the application for outline planning permission for land next to Welgoer Farmhouse (agenda item 5)

1 Apologies for absence: Cllrs Hunt, Ms K. Limer
2 Declaration of interest in items on the agenda:  None
3 The minutes of the meeting held on 3rd November 2005 were confirmed and signed by the Chairman as an accurate record.
4 Urgent Matters arising: The Chairman drew attention to the Sherborne Area Partnership forum for which representatives of the council were requested.
5 Planning application (outline permission) 1/E/05/002068. Land next to Welgoer Farmhouse, Poyntington. Erect detached dwelling with double garage. Construct vehicular access. Council recommendation: To object on the grounds that there were no reasons to seek an exception to the adopted Local Plan – there is no Defined Development Boundary for Poyntington. Further, applications in 2002 & 2003 for an agricultural worker’s dwelling on land opposite this site were refused as contrary to the Local Plan. Approval of this application could create a precedent for extensive development of the rest of the land.
6 Planning application 1/E/05/002105. Erect two storey extension at Cherry Bryn, Poyntington. Council recommendation: No objection

There being no further business the Chairman declared the meeting closed at  7.53  p.m.

The next meeting of Yeohead & Castleton Parish Council is scheduled for Thursday 5th January 2006 at 7.30 p.m. at Poyntington Village Hall.
