3a The Court House, POYNTINGTON DT9 4LF 1/E/05/000891 Change of use of land to form extension of residential curtilage (involving tennis court with perimeter fencing). Council stated that it had no objection to the principle of the proposal, but recommended that proper attention should be paid to screening the visual impact of the court from the neighbouring properties and those on the other side of the valley, and would wish to see a definitive screening programme in place before any other permission is granted. Council also recommended that black would be a better colour for the fencing to merge it into the background. Council also noted that there were a number of strong objections expressed by residents.
3b Wellgoer Farmhouse, POYNTINGTON DT9 4LF 1/E/05/000871 – Demolish existing single storey and two storey extensions, erect two storey extension. Demolish existing garage and erect new garage. Council recommended that it had no objection to the structural aspects of the application, but was concerned that the proposed rendering of all elevations should not be of the colour and brightness of the existing rendering on the annexe. Concern was also expressed that the proposed wooden structure of the new garage is inappropriate and out of keeping with neighbouring properties.
